Your Partner in Storytelling
Transforming a book idea into a publish-worthy manuscript is a team effort. Unfortunately, the team assigned by a publisher doesn’t always have the resources to give you the personalized time you need. As an experienced developmental editor, ghostwriter, and creative director, I’m in a unique position to give you the full support and personal attention you need to achieve your publishing goals.
Ways to Work Together
-
Developmental editing plays a critical role in manuscript development. The developmental edit occurs before the publication of a manuscript and focuses primarily on improving and clarifying the big picture elements of your book. By digging deep and zooming out, I help shape a book’s narrative, establish a voice and tone, and ensure that the subject matter is being communicated clearly to the intended audience. Developmental editing is not to be confused with line editing, which focuses more on grammar, typos, and punctuation.
-
As an experienced ghostwriter, I’ll collaborate closely with you to capture your voice and develop your vision into a powerful manuscript. I offer ghostwriting for entire books, and also for smaller sections, if you’re feeling stuck in particular places. The ghostwriting process includes ongoing interviews and multiple rounds of revisions to ensure you meet your publishing goals.
-
My creative direction services are a real value-add for visually-driven books. I can help you develop your shot list, assist with photo styling on set, choose photos, or whatever else you may need to make your vision a reality. I’ll always keep the big picture goals of your book in mind while considering the creative elements.
Ready to get started?
Step 1.
Book a Fit Call
We’ll start with a free 15-minute call to talk about where you are and where you want to go with your project. After learning a bit about you, I’ll go over my process and give you some time to ask your own questions.
If it’s a great fit and we both want to move forward, the next step is to book a Manuscript Roadmap.
Step 2.
Book a Manuscript Roadmap
If you'd like to move forward after the Fit Call, the next step is to book your Manuscript Roadmap interview. This is a 60-minute in-depth session where we'll go deep and think big. We’ll dig into your unique challenges and goals and then I’ll create a roadmap with clear next steps for how you can make your goals a reality. From there, if you want to work together, your Manuscript Roadmap investment will be applied toward any of my recommended packages.
Investment: $300
Includes the interview and a written brief that identifies your customized plan to achieve your goals. This cost is applied to any package moving forward.
